Roblox Skyblock Deleted - Roblox Skyblock game, which hundreds of thousands of players love playing, has been removed. Here are the reasons: From the info given, the game seems to have been taken down due to a DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown request. Roblox themselves did not want to take down the game, but were forced to for legal reasons. All platforms that have some sort of User-Generated Content (UGC) aspect to them are required to abide by this US law. If something on a UGC platform (i.e. Roblox) is in infringement of this law, it is required that it be taken down, which is what Roblox was forced to do. However, there is a chance that the game is able to come back if they remove the infringing content (which in this case is not 100% known) from the game. These are the steps the developers and Roblox must take to get the game back up and running.The game was previously called "Skyblock" which is the same name as popular Minecraft servers. This forced them to rename the game to "Skyblox." However, the copyright holder (who is currently unknown) still didn't like the name, forcing them to change it to "Islands." Apparently the copyright holder STILL didn't agree with the name change, meaning it may have been the gameplay/content in the game itself (not confirmed). I hope this thread helped a lot of you somewhat understand the current situation the "Islands" team is dealing with. Keep in mind that I am not any sort of lawyer and don't know much about this.
